Tsunami warning system
Concept
Right Way combines with the traffic signs in the city. It’s a general traffic sign in peacetime. When the tsunami occurred, it will receive tsunami warning signal, and then it will convert to the tsunami warning sign immediately, the arrow of Right Way will rotate to guide people running to the refuge direction in the same time.
People also could know when the tsunami will reach their location,so that let them make a judgment whether to keep running or running to the high building to refuge.
Background
In recent years, the global warming result in sea level rise, and cause a dramatic geological changes. It increase the earthquake or tsunami occurred probability . Such as the South Asian Tsunami in 2004 and the March 11th in 2011 in Japan. It was caused very serious disasters by the tsunami. However, it occurred very faster and emergency, people couldn't get the information of tsunami reaches time and the right refuge direction at the first time, so it resulting in delay to refuge also causing regret. If the tsunami should occur next time, we will ready to response.
However, every 6 to 7 years will occur the tsunami, that in 2017 it will be possible again a massive tsunami.
What’s Problem
The tsunami occurred very faster and emergency, people couldn't get the information of tsunami reaches time and the right refuge direction at the first time,so it resulting in delay to refuge also causing regret.
Existing tsunami warning system
When the tsunami occurred, the“Deep Ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunamis” report the data to the satellite, and then the satellite deliver the ”Tsunami warning center”,and then Issuing warning by it, in this process has wasted a lot of refuge time, so that the “Right Way" reducing complex processes.
>Let people know when the tsunami will reach their location and get ready for some emergency response measures.
>Reduce the number of casualties caused by the tsunami.

Technology
E-Paper
Converting screen and count down time is using the e-paper with low-power consumption and low cost feature, and the power consumption only by the converting screen. It also in the normal ambient light can be clearly identifiable, so combine with the traffic signs everywhere.The life circle of E-paper are more than 10 years, before the tsunami occured period.
Solar panels
It is main power supply system. Because the tsunami occurred, the electricity will power outage, so the solar power storage electricity ,it can still be used when the tsunami occurred.

360 degree rotating arrow guide refuge direction, in any direction can see it clearly, let people take refuge quickly.
Red light ring and E-paper count down the tsunami reaches times. Both of two are echoed each other. The red light ring divided into 60 cells, and each cell means one minute.
Both with speaker,to remind people the tsunami will arrive.

Right Way tsunami warning system
When the tsunami occurred, the “ Deep Ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunamis” report the data to the satellite, and then it will deliver the tsunami signal to Right Way ,and plan the refuge routes. Let people follow those arrow to go to the safe zone.
The tsunami is a natural disaster, could not be avoided. Therefore, we should face it, try to reduce the number of casualties. With the design of Right Way, it could be able to provide people with a reliable shield to guard your family around us, and no more sad scenes. Although the house has been destroyed, we believe that as long as still alive, everything will be able to a brighter future, the future is filled with new hope.
